We have been at Tierra Encantada for a year and a half and we only have positive things to say. We have experienced the infant, toddler and preschool rooms and all of the teachers have been so warm and caring. The food is great and adds a lot of variety and exposure to their diets. I also like that there are no tvs, there is lots of play time, indoor gym time, outdoor play (my eldest loves the bikes) and art activities. I think she also likes music time because she sings Spanish songs at home. My girls seem very happy here!
We absolutely loved our time with Tierra Encantada Rochester. I can't speak highly enough about the wonderful staff -- they are the most warm, dedicated group of teachers and coordinators I have ever met! Our son also had a few unique challenges (developmental delays, and lots of food allergies), and they were always so accomodating and helpful for his situation. The facility is also really nice!
All in all, we very highly recommend this daycare!
We have been taking our daughter to Tierra Encantada since they first opened and we absolutely love it! The staff are incredibly friendly, they are kind and caring and our daughter loves spending time here. The facilities are kept clean and tidy, the administrative staff are always helpful. The fact that our daughter is learning Spanish is the icing on the cake. We highly recommend Tierra Encantada!
This is my son’s 3rd daycare in Rochester. It’s easily the best. Here are a few reasons why:
1. The teachers are very warm and caring. They’re more like loving tias vs the half interested babysitter vibe of many daycares.
2. Healthy, organic whole foods.
3. Spanish. They got my 4 year old to truly enjoy learning Spanish. Seeing him smile while singing and counting in Spanish is gold.
4. They’re great at dealing with behavioral struggles. My son is feisty, and they do a great job talking with him about his emotions and actions. Their approach is very straightforward and transparent, so we are all sure to be on the same page.
5. The indoor gym. Having an indoor active play space is huge. Really helps my son let off steam, exercise, and enjoy his day, particularly when it’s nasty outside.
We have tried a few child care facilities in the area and this has by far been the best experience we’ve had. I love that they treat my son like family. It’s fun to hear my son singing and counting in Spanish too! I also love the organic food choices they serve.
